Our Program
The Dallas Galloway Program
Have your ever thought about running a marathon or half marathon but thought that you could never do it? Have you tried to train for a long distance event, but found that your training was derailed by injuries? Have you trained by yourself in the past, but found that getting motivated is difficult? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, the Dallas Galloway Program can help you.
The Dallas Galloway program is currently directed by Chris and Stefani Forsythe. They have been Program Directors since 2007 and active Galloway participants since 2001. They are assisted by a team of experienced Pace Group Leaders (PGLs) who are very familiar with Jeff Galloway’s training philosophy. The PGLs help lead the weekly runs, are available to answer questions and to provide support during the training season.
Our weekly training runs are held on Saturdays and start in the parking lot in front of the RunOn! Store located on Mockingbird Lane about ½ mile east of Central Expressway. Our training runs will incorporate various segments of the White Rock marathon route. They will take us through the tree-lined neighborhoods of the M Streets and Lakewood as well as around White Rock Lake and the Katy trail. We also try to attend as many local races as possible that fit within our training schedule. In an effort to beat the summer heat, we usually start at 5:00 a.m. for runs longer than 10 miles and 6:30 a.m. for shorter runs. Our training runs are equipped with water along the way.
